Pharmacy students win awards

 SEVEN pharmacy students from the University of PNG have been honoured with the Pharmacy Best Students Awards.

The seven females received awards for their outstanding academic performance last year.

They were given their awards witnessed by sponsors and staff from the school of medicine and health sciences.

They are Pamela Niaromo (third year), Bethany Kenny (third year), Relvie Nakui (fifth year), Anita Dalau (fifth year), Sylvia Nurri (fourth year), Judith Damon and Jacklyn Yanda.

Pharmacy associate professor Jackson Lauwo said they were honoured for their effort to perform to the best of their abilities as reflected in their results.

Nurri thanked the pharmacy strand and the two sponsors.

“This will continue to inspire us to work hard for better academic results.”

She thanked sponsors Johnson Pharmacy and South Pacific Pharmaceuticals.  

The awards are an annual event where students are given incentives and certificates.
