Philemon in front after count seven

MEMBER for Lae open Bart Philemon is leading on 732 votes at the end of count seven yesterday afternoon.
He is followed by Kay Takisieng on 316, slightly ahead of Wari Moere on 313, Wallis Michael Pingin 308, Brown Kiki on 258 votes.
The only female candidate Loujaya Toni is trailing with 211 votes, just behind Micah Vines on 235 votes.
The counting began yesterday following a one-day polling last Wednesday under heavy security.
Seven out of 54 ballot boxes were counted yesterday.
Counting for the regional seat will begin this morning at the Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium.
