Plastic bag ban hailed

KUDOS to the Daru Town Authority for banning disposable plastic bags on the island.
Although disposable plastic bags are convenient for carrying store goods or other items, they also contribute to pollution and when washed into the sea, they endanger marine life.
Perhaps the next step is to get the whole town involved in a town-wide cleanathon.
