Please fix the roads in Nabak, Nawaeb

Letters

I would like to raise concerns about road conditions on behalf of the people of Nabak LLG.
Nabak LLG is in Nawaeb District, Morobe, which is 60 km to Lae. It has a total of population about 6,000.
The people earn a living by producing fresh greens and vegetables (Sako) that are sold at the markets in Lae.
However, transporting their produce is so difficult due to bad road conditions.
Locals and public servants such as Health Extension Officers (HEO) and teachers have to walk long distances to reach Lae.
Due to bad roads, PMV owners have pulled out their vehicles. Only a few are serving the whole LLG.
There is no proper maintenance of road for the last five years.
I am calling on the Nawaeb district to look into this matter because accidents are happening due to road conditions.
We want our leaders to allocate funding to fix the roads and proper drainage system to avoid landslides and slippery roads.
Many streams and water are spoiling the roads.

Ai Blong Ol Ai Pas,
Lae

  • Local MP please do something as road infrastructure carries major service delivery to the local people. Please do something for my people of Nabak and Wain-Erap LLGs.

  • Truly support this call – Late Timothy Bonga have come and gone and absolutely nothings has been done makes people wonder where are the members that we cast our votes for. Take back PNG start in the village to towns and cities – mindset blo ol Leader ino senis em bai olsem wanem. When election is around the corner all the sweet campaign messages will be echoed to the people again – “MI BAI STRETIM ROT”. Members have themselves to blame and be ashamed off for doing nothing.
