PM assures LLG elections

 LOCAL level government elections will go ahead as scheduled next month Prime Minister Peter O’Neill told Parliament last Friday.

He said under the election laws, the LLG election would be conducted from June to August without delay or deferral.

He added that the elections would also be held in the new Hela and Jiwaka provinces despite some reservations about whether the provinces were ready for them.
