PRIME Minister Sir Michael Somare says he believes public servants in the country were more corrupt than politicians.
Addressing a crowd in Kandep on Wednesday during a political rally for Don Polye, Sir Michael said many public servants stole from the Government’s coffers, and a report showed that.
He said some Members of Parliament, who were involved in corrupt deals, were referred to the Ombudsman Commission for prosecution, but corruption happened everywhere in the society.
He said from the report he received, many senior public servants were involved in corrupt deals.
