PM fails to deliver: Namah

OPPOSITION Leader Belden Namah has accused Prime Minister James Marape of “taking PNG backwards” instead of forward in his first 12 months in office.
Marape was sworn in as prime minister on May 30 last year after his predecessor Peter O’Neill resigned.
Namah called on Marape to name a road, an airport or seaport or any other major infrastructure project with his name on it.
“Can he name a single working policy or programme? What about the overseas work placement he mentioned in the 2020 budget?” Namah said.
“I see absolutely nothing. Instead of taking PNG back as he said he would, Marape has taken the country backwards.
“He stopped a working tuition fee free education policy that made education inclusive and accessible to 2.2 million children.
“His action has now put one million children out of the classrooms again.
“He has created chaos in the education system.
“The Help loan scheme he introduced for tertiary education is a failure.
“It offers no help at all for our tertiary students and no system has been developed to recoup the money.
“The students have wisely opted to pay for their own education.”
An attempt yesterday to get a comment from Marape failed.
Namah said Marape was yet to deliver things he had promised to do, including addressing the cases of violence in his Tari-Pori district.
“Every MP has his electorate to attend to before all other responsibilities,” he said.
“That is where our mandate comes from.
“James Marape’s Tari-Pori electorate awaits his undivided attention still,” he said.

  • Marape is the leader of the people’s choice! all others including the leader of the opposition are just empty drum and opportunist, they cannot deliver the tangible services that PNG needs.

  • “Every MP has his electorate to attend to before all other responsibilities,”
You damn right Namah. So time for you to go back to your electorate. Seems like that little loudspeaker desperately wants to be the PM.

  • The Opposition Leader does not seems to have anything good to talk about and is making unnecessary noise to distract attentions of those that can not read in between the lines.

  • It is good that we all work together..Parliamentarians and the people of this nation to take back PNG…Time wanpla marn chol garim pigpla log…log by kilim em…so mipla olgeta yet mas halivim….Despite criticism PMJM can manage to the core….

  • WE THE VOTERS ARE OBSERVING AND COME 2022 MOST OF THESE CURRENT POLITICIANS WILL BE REPLACED!

  • I see in good views that things certainly are going to work out for this nation. As we are faced with pandemic some good signals are on our way as after the storm there’s always a sunshine.

  • BN has decribed it all. It’s 12 months now and this ever talking PM hardly deliver anything at all for PNG.
His HELP policy for the tertiary institutions is terribly a failure. He is just spending too much time on talking and dancing around. Should resign now PMJM.
