PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill is funding a K10 million bridge project to be built across Waghi River in the Karamui-Nomani electorate of Chimbu.
Enga Governor Sir Peter Ipatas made the announcement on Monday at Doliba High School in the electorate.
Sir Peter said O’Neill was overseas and he was asked to announce the project.
He said the Government was focusing on service delivery and the project supported the people of Salt, Numane and Karamui.
Sir Peter launched new computers and solar panels bought by local MP Mogorema Sigo Wei for K300,000 for Doliba High School.
“Bridge materials were already purchased and were in Goroka and needed to be delivered to the electorate. This is service and you, the people of Salt, Numane and Karamui, are privileged because you will have access to connect to the Chuave electorate,” Sir Ipatas said.
