PM takes ministry

THE Agriculture and Livestock Ministry is currently under Prime Minister James Marape, pictured, after former Agriculture and Livestock Minister and Maprik MP John Simon was suspended over allegations of misconduct in office.
Agriculture and Livestock Vice-Minister Henry Amuli, who is in charge of cocoa, copra, vanilla, oil palm and spice, confirmed to The National yesterday that PM Marape had taken over the Ministry during the vacancy.
“Our former agriculture minister was suspended and PM is now taking over the ministry,” Amuli said.
“We have three vice-ministers and we are continuing with our functions as given to us by the prime minister.”
