PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill has urged the people of Angoram to elect the right person who will deliver government programme and services.

O’Neill flew to the East Sepik electorate on Monday to campaign for Samson Torovi, the People’s National Congress Party candidate who is among those contesting the Angoram by-election.

The seat was left vacant after the death of Ludwig Schulze.

O’Neill addressed a crowd in Angoram before flying to Murik Lakes to address more voters before returning to Port Moresby.

Torovi had spent eight years as administrator of East Sepik before deciding to contest the seat.

O’Neill urged voters to elect a person who would work closely with the Government to deliver development programmes made possible by the massive resources directed to the provinces and districts in the national budget.

“The People’s National Congress believes Torovi is the right man for this job.  He has the experience and the credentials to serve the people of Angoram in Parliament,” O’Neill said.

“PNC party policies are simple and now form the core of our government policies and development programmes.

“We offer you Torovi. Elect him so he can deliver these programmes to the electorate,” he said.

The PNC has already won the Yangoru-Saussia seat in East Sepik which is held by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Richard Maru.
