PNC meet starts today

PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill’s Peoples National Congress party will stage its national convention at the University of Goroka today.
Potential candidates identified had arrived in Goroka.
Information from Goroka yesterday revealed that every lodge and hotel had been booked out. Air Niugini and Airlines PNG flights to Goroka were also fully booked.
O’Neill will fly to Goroka this morning with some of his ministers, MPs and supporters.
Key agenda items for the convention are PNC policies, selection and finalisation of the party’s candidates for the election and the direction the party will follow into the election and beyond.
O’Neill will chair tomorrow’s sessions and close the convention in the evening.
