PNG Air operating ‘normally’ with strict measures

PNG Air says it will be operating normally during the 14-day lockdown of National Capital District as announced by Prime Minister James Marape.
The lockdown took effect on Wednesday.
“We wish to advise our valued customers and travelling public, that our domestic services will be operating ‘business as usual’ during and after the 14-day lockdown,” the airline said.
“PNG Air will operate under the strict Covid-19 health requirements and in compliance with the Pandemic Act direction relating to domestic travel measure No.3, issued by the Pandemic Controller David Manning,” PNG Air said in a statement.
“A courtesy reminder, National Declaration of Health forms will continue to be distributed and must be completed and presented upon arrival into your domestic port of travel.
“PNG Air will ensure to
operate in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to
advice from the National Government as per the pandemic measures issued to mitigate the risks in the spread
against the coronavirus (Covid-19).
“These are trying times and we are all being affected by it.
“PNG Air encourages all to; stay safe, maintain social distancing and wash your hands every day.”
