PNG can do better than Fiji in soccer

I WATCHED the soccer final on EMTV on Sunday (July 12) between Fiji and Vanuatu and from my observation and analysis any local soccer team can beat them.

There was no ball control, too many high balls and poor accuracy of ball passing.

I was expecting high standard of soccer from Fiji and Vanuatu but was totally disappointed.

How will Fiji show such standard of soccer in the Rio Olympics?

I don’t know why PNG lost to Fiji as we were much better with our structural game only to lose due to defensive errors.

Our players must understand their role of what a defender should do when not in possession of the ball when defending.

We also lacked as good striker who would have given us vital goals.

Nigel Dabinyaba could have done us proud if he was included in the team.

He would have made a difference as he is a dynamic striker.
