PNG firms getting tickets to NZ festival

Six companies from Papua New Guinea and others from Solomon Islands and Vanuatu will join the Pasifika Festival to promote their products, according to Pacific Trade Investment New Zealand.
The PNG companies are Namalu Coffee, Bilum Exporters and Promotion Authority (BEPA), Artisan Culture, Oshin Organics, Gray Café and Superior Enterprises.
One company is yet to be confirmed.
They will be joined by two from Solomon Islands and four from Vanuatu.
These companies will be part of this year’s New Zealand Pacific Trade Investment (PTI) Pasifika Business Market at the festival.
The festival will be held in Auckland from Mar 24-25.
The Pasifika Business Market is managed by the Auckland Council through its tourism, events and economic development organisation.
The Pasifika Festival is a Pacific Islands-themed festival held annually since 1993 in Auckland City, New Zealand.
It attracts over 225,000 visitors every year.
The festival is owned and hosted by the Auckland Council.
According to PTI, more than 35 companies from 12 Pacific Islands countries will be at the festival as part of its path-to-market programme.
The path-to-market programme is a basis for Pacific Island scompanies to build awareness of the New Zealand market, said PTI trade and investment commissioner Michael Greenslade.
