PNG line up matches in revamped ICC comp

THE new 50-over-structure and 2023 International Cricket Council World (ICC) Cup Qualification pathway was approved at the board meetings in Singapore last month.
The top two teams from the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 tournament which is currently being played in Oman (Nov 9-18)between Denmark, Kenya, Singapore, Uganda, USA and the hosts Oman will advance to the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 tournament.
The World Cricket League Division 2 tournament will be taking place in Namibia from April 18-28 next year with the Hebou PNG Barramundis, Hong Kong, Canada, hosts Namibia and the two qualifiers from World Cricket League Division 3 taking part.
The top four teams from this tournament will advance to the newly-rebranded Cricket World Cup League Two.
The Cricket World Cup League Two (formerly known as World Cricket Championships) will be played from July (2019) to the end of 2021 featuring Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Scotland and the four qualifiers from the World Cricket League Division 2 tournament on a home and away basis with all matches having one day international (ODI) status.
The top three teams on the points table at the end of the Cricket World Cup League 2 will advance to the 10-team World Cup Qualifier in 2022 which will feature the bottom five teams of the ODI Super League, the two qualifiers from the Cricket World Cup League 2 and two qualifiers from the 2022 World Cup playoff.
The top two teams from the World Cup qualifier will advance to the 10-team 2023 Cricket World in India from Feb 9 to March 23, 2023.
The PNG Barramundis are currently in World Cricket League Division 2 after finishing second last in the 2018 ICC Cricket World qualifier in Zimbabwe and losing the ODI status in the process.
