PNG loses soccer reputation

OUR reputation as the most populous nation in the South Pacific with a large pool of soccer players is being questioned.

Playing second fiddle to the same teams we

have been playing against for a long time is an embarrassment.

The PNG Football Association must eat humble pie as a result of its president’s unilateral and unpopular decisions which are detrimental to the sport.

The Under-20 players and their coach who just came back from Fiji may have tried their best but it was just not enough.

The lack of adequate match practice and preparations have once again let the PNG team down.
