PNG Power are eyeing the top spot in Port Moresby men’s softball when they play Brown Eagles on Sunday.

Power, second on the ladder on 14, are a point behind leaders United Brothers on 15.

But Power must work hard to knock off Eagles who would be equally determined for a win this weekend to remain in the hunt for a finals place.

Knowing the situation at hand Eagles’ batters will need to get on top of Power’s pitcher Daniel Tovia as batting has been an area of the Eagles’ game that has been a let down in recent matches.

Capable batters in David Maira, George Pukur, Pukalur Tobawai, Troy Taule, Andrew Akuk, Pidil Kakar and Gire Bunbun need to be on song to nullify Tovia.

Power are an established team with Steven Polum, Eugine Tovue and the Tovia brothers, Demas, Isikel Jr and Daniel among the players who will dictate a positive outcome of the match if Eagles treat them lightly.
