PNG Power lights up Army HQ

 THE Murray Barracks Defence headquarters in Port Moresby came alive on the weekend as PNG Power Ltd celebrated its 50 years of providing electricity service in the country.

The celebration was not only colourful and extraordinary but it was the single biggest celebration recorded for the state-owned entity.

The event attracted more than a thousand people apart from the staff and families of PNG Power employees in Port Moresby.

The celebration began at 9am on Saturday with setting up of stalls, followed by traditional dance performances by various cultural groups from all over the country.

The celebrations continued with the arrival of the float and ended at about 4:30pm with creative dances by children of the company’s employees.
