PAPUA New Guinea will make their presence felt at the 7th Pan Pacific Masters Games at the Gold Coast, when various sports send their representative teams.
NCD Public Servants Netball Association (NCD-PSNA) will be represented by four teams taking part in various age-groups which include 30-and-over, 35-and-over, 40-and-over and 45-and-over age group divisions.
Association president Lynn Koneubau, who is also the events coordinator, is confident that the women would do their best at the event.
She said they performed exceptionally well in the past years and won a gold medal in 2008.
The Masters Games would start on Saturday till Nov 14.
Koneubau said she thanked the members of the Tabuans, Olema, Kiara and Tiare for their efforts in raising funds for their airline tickets to the Gold Coast later this week.
“I would like to thank them for going through the struggle of raising the funds to make the trip despite our attempts to secure funding from various government departments or corporate bodies,” she said.
Apart from netball, there will also be a women’s soccer and a touch football from PNG attending the games.
