PNG U23 squad finalised, leave today for C’wealth champs

The Papua New Guinea Under-23 nines squad for tomorrow’s Commonwealth Championships at Dolphin Oval, Redcliffe, Queensland, was finalised with the PNGRFL releasing its 15-man contingent which flies to Brisbane at midday.
Goroka Lahanis Jah Hogan and Norman Brown, who starred in their side’s 42-20 trimuph in last week’s national super nines cup final in Goroka, lead the side comprising the country’s best U23 talent.
Coach Colin Geno, who is taking charge of his first overseas assignment, has an impressive track record on the domestic scene but faces his biggest test to date as his side take on Pool B opponents England, Tonga and Samoa.
