THE PNG Waterboard (PNGWB) has vowed to improve business performance next year to effect better customer service.
This follows the completion of a recent three-day annual conference themed “accountability for results” structured to create a solid basis for understanding and embracing accountability, teamwork and results.
PNGWB chief executive and managing director Patrick Amini, said: “These conferences have been productive in considering performance against the company’s objectives.
“It has been agreed that the conference is actually empowering participants to achieve real cultural change to deliver the organisations strategic intent.”
The conference, well-attended by executive managers, branch managers and senior staff was facilitated by business performance and management consultancy firm Results Leadership of Australia.
The conference objectives included the laying of solid foundation to improve performance and results across the business
It also aimed to provide leaders with critical knowledge skills and relevant information to begin  a significant cultural shift toward improving the habits and attitudes of staff.
