PNGAIC must explain
The National, Monday 27th Febuary 2012
DAVID Inau’s outburst at The National for allegedly not understanding processes and protocols is lame and irrelevant.
The National was right to prompt an update from the PNGAIC.
Lives have been lost, notably in the Cessna crash in Kabwum and the Twin Otter in Kokoda, but answers are still pending.
The AIC, which Inau heads, has a moral and social responsibility to keep grieving kin and the public updated on the progress of investigations.
It is high time such important organisations get their acts right and understand their obligations.
They should have websites, hotlines and issue media statements so that no one is kept in suspense or in the dark.
If Inau were in the shoes of grieving relatives, he would understand their plight and hunger for information.
Stop being defensive and just get your job done.
I, for one, am tired of such defensive responses, which are common from most government institutions.
