THE Australian Defence Force donated some equipment to the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) at Murray Barracks in Port Moresby yesterday.
These included a new Codon radio communication system and a DJ Phantom 4 drone that will be used by the PNGDF for operational purposes.
The equipment was presented by the head of Australian Defence staff to PNG Col James Kid.
PNGDF chief of logistics Col Albert Palawa said the donation strengthened the healthy relationship that ADF had with PNGDF.
Col Palawa, on behalf of PNGDF Maj-Gen Gilbert Toropo, thanked Col Kid for the equipment.
The equipment will now be kept in the PNGDF logistic and supply system and will be issued through its normal supply system.
