THE Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) is conducting an induction workshop for its staff in Port Moresby and Lae.
PNGFA president John Kapi Natto said the workshop was to prepare staff for an overhaul in the sport’s national governing body.
He said the overhaul was endorsed by PNGFA’s executive committee.
Kapi Natto thanked the staff for being part of the organisation in delivering football to all corners of the country.
He reminded the staff of their role and responsibilities.
Kapi Natto urged the staff to carry out their roles and responsibilities in line with the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and Fifa.
“Everyone in PNGFA must know their roles and responsibilities,” he said.
“Our or any individual task is to make the organisation look more professional in line with OFC and Fifa.”
“We must be professional in doing our job.
“Keep doing what you do best.
“We will win the confidence of OFC and Fifa if we comply with their requirements which include good governance, transparency and respect.”
Kapi Natto told his staff in Port Moresby that their involvement with PNGFA was important.
“Everyone must be open with other fellow employees,” he said.
“Openness if you have a problem, go talk to your departmental head. If we want to transform this organisation, everyone must work together with the PNGFA secretariat headed by secretary general Pius Letenge.”
Kapi Natto said the staff must know their roles and responsibilities and also follow their protocol or their chain of command when dealing with the day-to-day affairs of football.
