THE Besta FA Cup finals planned for next week have been deferred to Oct 30 to Nov 2 in Lae, according to the Papua New Guinea Soccer Association (PNGFA).
Competition manager Simon Koima said yesterday that the deferral had been endorsed by PNGFA upon consultation with the Office of the General Secretary in light of a few technical issues.
“This should also give more time for participating teams to organise for the finals,” Koima said.
Koima said there are two men and two women’s regional teams who will be competing in the final.
He said Southern had a few disputes being deliberated on by the appeals committee while the Highlands teams would be confirmed once the match reports are received.
