THE PNG Trade Union Congress has described the K50,000 reward by Nasfund as a “cowboy style” reward using contributors money.
PNGTUC General Secretary John Paska said there was nothing wrong with people posing legitimate questions over the legitimacy of the deal.
“These are legitimate questions that demands legitimate answers from Nasfund.
“The K50,000 reward is unjustified,” Paska said.
“We do not suggest any impropriety over these deals but they should explain themselves out of these legitimate questions.
“The K50,000 reward is unjustified. If they feel genuinely aggrieved or maliciously defamed, then they should go to court.”
Paska said the contributor’s money must not be put up as a reward to catch the culprits but let the relevant law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute the culprits.
