PNGVF unveils new competition

THE Papua New Guinea Volleyball Federation has unveiled huge plans for this year aimed at promoting the talents of rural athletes in the country.
President Turaho Morea and his executives have come up with a new competition which will be called the National Beach Volleyball Tour, to be staged in Port Moresby from April 2-5.
The tournament, which will be held at Ela Beach, is aimed at creating opportunity for players to be selected to represent the country at the Oceania Beach Volleyball   Championship in Noumea, New Caledonia, in July.
The event will attract men’s and women’s teams from affiliated associations around the country.
Another new challenge is the inaugural tens titans tournament which will feature some of the strongest volleyball sides in the country including, Arafura Games and National champions Vava, NCD, Fairfax and will be held from June 12-15.
