THE PNG Women’s Rugby Football League will only recognise affiliated leagues voted in by their club presidents, says president Wendy Kohun.
She made the call when giving details of those leagues who are eager to become members of the PNG women’s league.
“The PNGWRFL is an affiliate of the PNG Rugby Football League therefore all women’s leagues should affiliate to PNGWRFL because they are relying on funds to manage their affairs. “The affiliation, players’ registration forms and conditions of PNGWRFL will be distributed shortly.
“The affiliation fee will vary from K300 to K500 but it will depend on the outcome of the PNGRFL’s AGM this weekend,” Kohun said.
Kohun also said only club presidents had the power to vote in a member on various league boards. PNGWRFL will only recognise affiliated leagues voted in by the club presidents.
“I am calling on women’s leagues in Mt Hagen, Banz, Kundiawa, Lae, Rabaul, Goroka, Port Moresby, Port Moresby suburban and any other interested leagues to meet with their club presidents and elect a proper board before next March,” she added.
