Pok inspects officer cadets

DEFENCE Minister Dr Fabian Pok said he was privileged and honoured to be the reviewing officer for the last military-only graduation parade at Igam Barracks, Morobe, last week.
“I pay tribute to my predecessors and their commanders that worked hard to ensure the academy continued to produce quality officers,” he said.
“The defence academy has fully served its purposes.”
Pok said the academy was the highest training institution for the Papua New Guinea Defence Force over the last 36 years.
The academy is to become a joint one for Correctional Services, police and the Defence Force.
