Police behaviour irrational, say women
The National, Tuesday 21st Febuary 2012
TWO women in Port Moresby have expressed disappointment with the unprofessional approach of policemen in the early hours of last Saturday.
One of the two, who does not want to be named for personal reasons, claimed that Badili policemen stopped them outside the Port Moresby General Hospital, pointed guns at them and ordered them out of the vehicle without any explanation.
She said they were then forced to turned around and go back to the Manu service station and pick up some other policemen there and to go to the Badili police station.
The woman said they were scared to drive down to Badili and instead made a U-turn and headed back to Boroko police station, got out of their vehicle and ran straight into the building.
She said the policemen then started swearing at them.
No comment could be obtained from police.
