NEW East Sepik police boss Peter Philip says he is looking at fixing law and order problems faced by people in Angoram district.

Philip said that after visiting Angoram Police Station last week.

Philip inspected the station and carried out awareness on law and order.

He addressed more than 200 people, who gathered in Angoram.

“I have encouraged youths and everyone to respect law and order,” Philip said.

“There has been a lot of talk about lack of law and order in Angoram and I am trying to minimise this and in order to do that we all need to work together,” he told the people.

Philip said had talked to the youths about homebrew and illegal trade taking place in the district.

“Now that I am in command, I am going to address this issue of law and problem here,” he said.

“I will be visiting districts more often so that people can know and feel police presence there.”
