Police charge man caught with 4.7kg of marijuana

POLICE in Chimbu have charged a man with being in possession of dangerous drugs after he was caught trying to send 4.7 kilograms of marijuana from Madang.
Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested Umba Michael Poka of Golgme village in Gembolg at a checkpoint along the Kundiawa-Gembolg Road.
Provincial police commander Chief Supt Jacob Singura said members of the Operation Weedim Grass team had been doing a great job in arresting people involved in marijuana since 2013.
