ACTING South Fly police commander Snr Insp Ewai Seki is concerned about suspects from a remote area in Western being allegedly beaten by policemen.
“I have ordered an internal investigation in this alleged incident and have policemen involved to be suspended,” he said.
“They will face criminal charges and disciplinary actions.”
Snr Insp Seki said police allegedly bashed up suspects at the Daru police station after bringing them from the Nakoa logging camp in Middle Fly.
“They were brought into Daru and locked up at the police station to be processed on charges of break and enter and possibly attempted murder,” he said.
