ON behalf of my family and community, I commend the swift action of the duty operator on the Lae Police Emergency number 70903300 on the afternoon of Sunday, April 15.
The community was being terrorised by a drunk, who attacked an innocent person walking down the street and was abusing and issuing threats.
I dialled the Police Emergency number.
Within three minutes, a unit arrived and took the drunk away and locked him up.
I appreciate the prompt action of the duty operator.
