POLICE in Bulolo, Morobe, are investigating the murder of a male nurse at Pine Top Clinic last Thursday.
They have called on people to work with them to apprehend the suspects.
Provincial police commander Alex N’Drasal said four suspects believed to have been involved in the murder were hiding in one of the villages along the Black Cat Trail.
One of the suspects was believed to be an escapee from Buimo Jail.
Identities of all suspects are known to the police.
N’Drasal said police could not go in to the village because of the mountainous terrain and remoteness.
He said the body of the murdered male nurse was now in the morgue at Angau Memorial General Hospital in Lae.
An armed robbery at Aitape Compound at PNG Forest Products, involving five suspects, took place in Bulolo on the same day.
“The suspects held up a PMV bus and robbed valuable items belonging to passengers,” N’Drasal said.
“Two home-made guns and two buck shots were confiscated by police at the scene after quick response.
