Police looking at CCTV footage in hunt for VC robbery gang

POLICE are working with the management of Vision City Mega Mall in Port Moresby to find the gang which tried to rob the service station at the premises on Saturday.
National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’dranou, pictured, said they were going through the CCTV and camera footage to identify the gang members involved.
“We are going through images and footage of the attempted robbery but we were not able to identify them (gang members) yet,” he said.
“We hope to get more footage and different angles of camera from the mall management in order to track the criminals down.”
N’dranou said the attempted robbery failed when security guards intervened.
There was an exchange of
fire in which two people were injured.
One of them was a security guard who was shot on the knee and waist.
A staff members was mistakenly shot by a security officer during the exchange of fire.
