Police looking for alleged wife killer

POLICE in Madang are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death at their home at Gagasi on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Cynthia John, from Southern Highlands and Biwat in East Sepik.
Provincial commander Superintendent Mazuc Rubiang said the husband had not been seen after allegedly stabbing his wife with a kitchen knife on her lower back.
Rubiang said Cynthia was taken to the Modilon Hospital but was pronounced dead.
He urged the suspect to surrender to police for formal investigations to occur.
Rubiang noted that an earlier incident reported along the North Coast Road of Madang where a 20-year-old male was found dead on the road. According to police, the deceased identified as Milton Ilub was last seen with two others (male and female) drinking beer at an outlet near Megiar.
Police believed the trio then went onto the Dylup Station where Ilub was allegedly attacked and killed.
Rubiang said investigations were continuing.
