THE Family and Sexual Violence Action Committee, police and the public staged a walk against violence from Eriku to toptown in Lae on Saturday to mark the 20-day activism.
Police Minister Jelta Wong, Lae MP John Rosso, Lae Metropolitan Superintendent Anthony Wagambie Jr and Australian consular-general Paul Murphy were among the participants.
Wagambie said everyone should oppose violence.
“We all have a duty to eradicate violence within the family, against women and children and against anyone in the community,” he said.
