Police nab three suspects

THREE suspects in an armed robbery case at Warangoi in Pomio East New Britain have been arrested and detained at the Kokopo police station.
East New Britain police commander Snr Insp Joseph Tabali said officers from the mobile squad at Tomaringa were looking for others involved whose identities were known.
Tabali said about nine men held up the bus driver, crew and passengers along the Nukumal‐Warangoi Road.
They then then drove the bus with all passengers inside to Warangoi town.
They parked in front of the Micho Xue Trading, and held up people inside, including the manager.
They took cash inside the registers, store items and a suit case containing personal clothing and jewelry.
He said the passengers, driver and crew fled when the robbers were busy inside.
Shop general manager Zheng Yi Hui sustained injuries.
The robbers left in the bus and abandoned it on a dirt track towards the Warangoi river.
