POLICE are still in the midst of investigating the deaths of two youths and another seriously injured in a fight in Ulagunan ward in Kokopo-Vanumami last month.
East New Britain commander’s staff officer Chief Inspector Ganriel Bandy said the two were killed in a fight between Ulagunan youths and Kokopo Business College students.
“The Ulagunan community claims the three youths were shot by police before being attacked by students. However, the post-mortem report from Nonga Hospital showed that they had sustained knife wounds on their bodies,” he added.
The report also stated that there were no bullets found in the body of the youths.
Bandy said three suspects involved in the murder of the Bank of South Pacific (BSP) employee in the Kokopo market had been arrested and that one suspect was still at large.
