POLICE in the Solomon Islands have begun investigations into the latest pornographic film involving a member of the Papua New Guinea military and a local teenaged female.
The pornographic film is the latest locally produced film circulating in the country.
A spokesperson from the police media unit told the Solomons Star that police had already received a report of the pornographic material.
However, the spokesperson said the investigations would be somewhat complicated because the film involved a member of the Papua New Guinea military force.
The Solomon Star understands that all Ramsi personnel are protected by immunity laws and cannot be prosecuted under Solomon Island laws.
The spokesperson said like all other similar cases in the past, the police would be investigating to find out if the material was intended for commercial purposes or whether it was a personal film that accidently leaked out.
“This is something we need to find out. If it was intended for commercialisation, then those involved will be prosecuted,” the spokesperson said.
The Island Sun newspaper in recent weeks reported that local sources who had watched the film claimed that the local pornography film featured a local teenage girl and a Ramsi military officer from Papua New Guinea.
The Island Sun reported that the film, which was roughly six minutes, featured the PNG soldier and the local teenage girl fiddling with themselves in a taxi at a beach believed to be at west Guadalcanal.
The film had been circulating for some time now, with many people using their 3G mobile phones to store and share the film.
The film, which was an unedited clip, was believed to have been shot by the PNG soldier himself and only shows the teenage girl and the driver of the taxi.
The clip showed the teenage girl being interviewed by the soldier as the cab headed down toward the beach.
The Island Sun reported that both the soldier and the local teenage girl were visibly drunk when the film was shot as both talked like drunken people and the behaviour of the teenage girl was somewhat wild during the interview in the video.
The film called Poro Man, only showed the camouflaged uniform and the shoes of the soldier, but clearly the voice was the typical pronunciation of a PNG citizen.
