Police puzzled by letter

POLICE in West New Britain are trying to figure out a letter sent by someone in Port Moresby seeking permission to stage a protest march in the province.
Provincial police commander Superintendent Jim Namora said the letter sent through a courier company service two weeks ago failed to indicate the date of the protest and who is organising the protest.
Namora said the letter sought permission to stage a march in Kimbe town against the governor to protest the influx of Asians into the province.
“How could someone from Port Moresby be interested in organising a protest march in West New Britain and can’t even be identified or write down the date? Namora said.
He said the letter questioned why line agencies such as Foreign Affairs and Immigration continue to allow Asians into the country.
The letter questioned Governor Sasindran Muthuvel’s plans for the province.
