A MAN is being questioned by police for allegedly posting defamatory information on Facebook against Angoram MP Salio Waipo and his District Development Authority executives.
East Sepik police commander Superintendent Robert Gesa said the man had accused Waipo and DDA chief executive officer Raymond Wungen of misusing two road construction equipment bought by the district. Gesa said they had taken him in for questioning at the Wewak police station.
“We were only acting on a complain laid by Waipo and Wungen,” he said. “They had accused the suspect for posting defamatory comments about them on Facebook. The arresting officer is expected to charge the suspect under the Cybercrime Act.”
