Police searching for body from sorcery-related killing

POLICE in Wau and Bulolo in Morobe are still working to locate the body of a man believed to be killed after being suspected of practising sorcery. The killing occurred in Wau last Sunday and police believe the body may have been dumped or buried along the highway between Wau, Bulolo and Lae. Police in Bulolo joined in the search for the body with their counterparts in Wau. The man was allegedly shot and killed by a father, his son and another person (still at large). The deceased person was actually paying his respects at a death, he was suspected to have caused that death – of the young man through sorcery.  According to police, the person suspected of sorcery was shot on both legs before being chopped on his ribs, legs and arms, resulting in his instant death. Morobe acting police commander Chief Insp John Daviaga said Bulolo police station commander Insp Adam Busil and his men were monitoring the incident and joined in the search.
