Police set up hotline

PEOPLE living in Madang can now call the police toll free number to report crimes and disturbances.
The toll free number was launched yesterday by the Madang Police and Digicel PNG.
The toll free number, which is a 24-hour hotline is 7225 4444.
Madang police commander Benn Neneo told The National that the public in Madang town could now be a part of the police’s efforts to fight crime and maintain law and order.
Neneo said the police would respond to all credible calls wherever and whenever possible depending on their manpower and logistics (vehicles and fuel).
He thanked Digicel for their assistance in facilitating a valuable service.
