Police to investigate accident claims

 THE investigation into accident insurance claims submitted to the Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited from Central will be carried out soon, police say.

Assistant Commissioner of Police for National Capital District and Central Sylvester Kalaut said files alleging fraud were in his office. 

“But currently, we have several complaints that we are investigating and we have all our investigators engaged,” he said.

“The population is too big and the police officers and investigators we have are all tied up.

“All our investigators are engaged and at the moment we are down with manpower.

“Therefore, once some officers are done with their sanctioned investigation, I will appoint a team to probe these bogus claims.”

“I don’t want to give out the files and wait long.

“I want them to investigate and report to me quickly.

“That’s why I am waiting for the officers to concentrate on their current investigations and complete first.
