Police waiting for outstanding

PAPUA New Guinea hosted the 2018 APEC summit nearly a year and three months ago and we are approaching the end of 2019.
The hard working members of the Police Department haven’t received their outstanding dues of K5,400 as promised by the Government.
Police personnel were at the forefront of all the APEC activities, performed professionally for our beloved country Papua New Guinea.
The other two disciplines, PNG Correctional Services members and PNG Defence Force members, had been paid their dues some months ago through their respective systems.
The three disciplined forces were involved in the same task during the PNG 2018 APEC summit but only two have been paid.
The Government accounts for 2019 has closed.
Can the Finance Department secretary liaise with the Police Department to sort this long outstanding dues once and for all?
