Police will not participate in protest

THE PNG Police Association National President Lowa Tambua says that they will not allow their members to participate in the proposed strike that is been promoted on the social media.
Tambua said as an industrial organisation, they can only resort to strikes as a last resort to leverage their bargaining for better employment related issues with the employer.
“Policing of law and order is an essential service that is provided by police personnel in the country under an oath. All police officers throughout the country are asked to maintain neutrality, peace and harmony,” he said.
