Political game

PAPUA New Guinea must not see this move by MPs resigning from PNC Party, James Marape and Davis Steven, the two senior cabinet ministers holding key government portfolios quitting their respective ministries was for the people.
They have done this because
the grace period was up for the ruling government sighting imminent vote of no-confidence and political infighting of decision making.
They should not misled this country by moving around and blaming Prime Minister Peter O’Neill for mismanaging this country.
They were part of that government for two consecutive terms.
They were part of Alotau Accord 1 and Alotau Accord 2.
Davis Steven, as the chief legal head of state when he was part of this current ruling regime should be aware what is going on and advice the prime minister what to do and what not.
Peter O’Neill was not a first timer in this 10th Parliament.
This was his second term
serving as a prime minister of PNG.
For goodness sake, they should raise the alarm earlier if O’Neill is mismanaging this country.
How can those MPs be so silent for the last five years and just bursting out today while some ridiculous deals had already been passed quietly and as a result have a detrimental impact to this country?
Where were they when Don Polye, the former opposition leader who was vocal and instrumental to remove O’Neill because of the one man decision UBS loan deal?
People should know that our leaders have been comfortably enjoying the privileges accorded to them under the expense of ordinary citizens and they are afraid of losing this milk and honey, even though they noticed something bad happening in the government, they cannot speak out.
Public servants, our three disciplinary arms, the PNGRC, PNGDF and CS must refrain from giving any form of support to any party, group, lobbing camp or even the opposition and the prime minister and his current regime.
Our disciplinary forces must carry out their mandated duties enshrined in the constitution to provide peace and not to associate with any faction.
We all should remain calm.
Politics is a game but this game of politicking our leaders are playing today does not have a feel and sympathy for ordinary PNGs citizens in it.
They were doing this at their own will.
Even the upcoming VONC will not do any change.
The real democracy of free, fair, transparent, accountability is yet to be found in PNG politics.
