Politics becoming everyone’s business

Letters

FROM the 70s to the late 90s, political matters were left entirely to the politicians to play.
But nowadays, is seems like politics is everyone’s business.
Either you take sides with the government or the opposition.
Political ideologies and policy platforms are set to safeguard the interest of the country in all spheres of action (both internally and externally) and provide wholesome intervention to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
Only when independent audits are undertaken to validate if policies of the government of the day has actually safeguarded the interest of the country or not and whether the general quality of life in terms of welfare of its citizens has improved or not against all internal and external challenges facing the country.
It is better to produce the audits during the next general election in 2022 for voters to decide rather than change of government or Prime Ministers mid-way in the political cycles.
